Dr. Don and producer Carter Smith have collaborated with the Greenburgh Nature Center to to get you the pitch perfect sounds of RUNA at the Celtic night during the 2012 Open Air Family Music Series. RUNA is a contemporary but refreshing take on Celtic music that also draws on the diversity of it members for more information check the links below.

RUNA: a quartet, draws on the diverse musical backgrounds of its band members and offers a contemporary and refreshing approach to traditional and more recently composed Celtic material. Through their repertoire of both highly energetic and graceful acoustic melodies, along with their fusion of music from Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and the United States, this vocal and instrumental ensemble gives its arrangements of traditional songs and tunes a fresh sound

Thursday, July 26—Irish-Celtic Night

Spend summer evenings at the Nature Center enjoying music that is perfect for the whole family by national, regional and local artists. Each concert offers a unique sound and each evening provides an opportunity to walk the Nature Center’s woodland trails, meet some of the Center’s most popular animals, have a picnic dinner or purchase food and beverages from California Pizza Kitchen (please note–alcoholic beverages are not permitted), or just sit back on the Center’s lovely Great Lawn on a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music. Concert produced by Common Ground Community Concerts. Purchase tickets online or at the event. Fee per program: Members-$6, Non-members-$8, children 2 to 12 years-$4, children under 2 years free.
